There’s plenty of room at the Marsden Write Out Loud open poetry evening. (and afterwards at the Inn – or Riverhead as it is known in these parts) on Wednesday, 19 December, at Marsden library from 7.30-9.30 pm. Cost £2.

Read a poem, your own or a favourite. Also open to (very) short story tellers, singer/songwriters, etc. Let’s have some poems on a theme of the midwinter festival, the solstice? Or even Christmas. Or, well, whatever you fancy, really.  Give it a go.

This event just goes from strength to strength in terms of its quality, humour and er, other stuff. Art with a heart. Beginners encouraged and all welcome. This is a friendly and supportive club. More details and map
