THE LONG HARM OF LOVE

They seek to destroy, That, which they cannot control, When the grip of power slips, The ploy, is to steam roll, When the cage they fabricated, can, No longer hold the force contained within it, Hope is decapitated, And castrated, And remorse remains a maintained gimmick, The guilt of love becomes a quilt of soot, Inhaled by the impaled, The jilted cut, And in return, to keep their grasp, They burn upon the flesh, Their grasp, Like the final death rasp, When two souls clash, The one to let go last, Will harass until the past becomes the present, And you were looking to the future, But right now, hell invades heaven, And demons surface, upon worthless facts, Upon the back of resolution Scratches form tracks, That travel like ipads and macs Never leaving the palms of the attatched. Let me go, set me free from my mistakes So I might, Find some real peace And a chance to re shape Instead you suffocate And muffle my love with hate, As you scrape Your fingernails, down the doors of fate, Punishment cannot take place twice I would like to make nice, But your satisfaction would be my great demise.

I find this one a tough read. To me it speaks of bitterness of how things are. I like the line that says................the guilt of love becomes a quilt of soot. So very true in more ways than one.

Nice work Yosh!

Keep posting.

Best wishes

Mike
