Write Out Loud has revamped its image on Facebook with a new Write Out Loud Community page. Look out for fresh news items on there too, as well as on the Write Out Loud home page.

All Write Out Louders who are also on Facebook can do your bit by Liking and Sharing the new Community page. Working together, we can all help to share information with our fellow poets, budding or established. What's more, we flag up reviews of gigs, books, and launch nights, plus discussions and competitions.  We'll be asking you for your favourite workshop exercises to help your fellow poets stretch their imaginations in fresh and exciting ways, so have a think and let us know on the Community page.

We will also be posting a once-monthly list of links to various free competitions and publishers, courtesy of the hugely generous and supportive Cathy Bryant, a fantastic writer and widely published poet. Laura Taylor, who is the admin in charge of the new Write Out Loud Community Facebook page, said: "'I feel strongly that it is important to reach a larger audience, to encourage writers as much as possible.  Writing and performing poetry has changed my life, in such a positive way.  I wouldn't have written so many poems, had the chance to perform as much, or been published so many times without the existence and support of Write Out Loud and its community.  I know many other poets who express the same opinion of the life-changing nature of Write Out Loud.  As so many people now use Facebook, I feel this is the best time to spread ourselves around a little and let even more people know about the wonderful world of Write Out Loud."
