Guitar love story

entry picture

I'm very close right now to my guitar
A love that I've neglected thru the years
Me and my acoustic met in the far-
Off year of '82 in Brum. But tears
Of frustration were to come. It appears
That all relationships are this rocky
Except in this case the rock stopped, the cause
Given as musical difficulty
(Not differences). The chords were too tricky
So dis-chord and finger fatigue were our
Coda. Then ten years' separation. Here's
The romantic part. In '98 we
Started seeing each other. Regular
Sessions followed, especially after beers

Hey Antonionioni!
I am so envious of you going to Paris!
Take me with you! I am so in love with Paris...
I left my heart there and I desperately need to retrieve it!

Hmmm... Guitar love story... I once tried to learn the guitar, but I became quite impatient... and frustration followed... and eventually gave it up... like so many other things.

some blokes get excited by cars but we only get excited by guitars. Enjoyed your poem.

Keep jammin' 'em in Antonioni.

Err, excuse my ignorance here but you didn't really exhume your guitar from a grave did you?

not been on here in so long! My strudies have made me neglect poetry but nice to see your still writing a sonnet a day. Good stuff. I recently picked up an acoustic guitar but snapped her string, she spends all day sulkin in the corner and has accused me of having a fling. :-/
