There’s still time to enter the first annual Anthony Walker poetry slam, on Saturday 7 July, 2pm at Liverpool’s Victoria Gallery and Museum. The rules are: 1 three minutes; 2 individual performers only; 3 no musical accompaniment; 4 no props; 5 no discrimination. The Anthony Walker Foundation (AWF) is a charity established by Anthony’s family following his tragic death in a racially-motivated attack in July 2005. The mission of the foundation is to promote equality and diversity through education, sport and arts events and to support law enforcement agencies and local communities to reduce hate crime and build safe cohesive communities.
