Step right up for Anthony Walker poetry slam in Liverpool

There’s still time to enter the first annual Anthony Walker poetry slam, on Saturday 7 July, 2pm at Liverpool’s Victoria Gallery and Museum. The rules are: 1 three minutes; 2 individual performers only; 3 no musical accompaniment; 4 no props; 5 no discrimination. The judges are singer-songwriter KoF, performance poet Curtis Watt aka C-Zero, and Jess Green, who has just published her first poetry pamphlet. If you would like to enter the competition please email info@writingonthewall.org.uk. The Anthony Walker Foundation (AWF) is a charity established by Anthony’s family following his tragic death in a racially-motivated attack in July 2005. The mission of the foundation is to promote equality and diversity through education, sport and arts events and to support law enforcement agencies and local communities to reduce hate crime and build safe cohesive communities.
