Love Interrupted

Love interrupted

Eternal Puck from a neon wood, preternatural blue agate eyes,
she speaks with her heart in her mouth, her body is a tuning fork
for her universe of words, mother mouthed, every sound works,
a soft lightening rod for the storm of everyones hard won glory,
her language has its own perfume, of talcum and pink lady apple.

Liquid looks from a dry place, a song bird in the trees of Dachau,
like the sun, like a big sky, like a mountain, like a body laughing
like a bedtime story, like hot milk and honey, like a seaside child,
like a bucket and spade, like a jelly fish, like the first ghost train,
like an illuminated manuscript seen from inside the velum page.

Tensile anger in the love dares to break the comfy bonds of sex
to be afraid and courages, to take the pain and make a fist of it,
to open your hand, to be naked, to be skinless, to drop the weight,
to refuse the umbilical undertow, to tie loving slip knots, to let go,
to tremor on the edge of change, to step back, to breathe, to jump.

Our love may be interrupted, but the forward emotion moves on.
