St. Pat's Day

Today is St. Patrick’s  Day
When little people are seen
It may be a load of blarney
The forty shades of green.

St. Patrick was a gentleman
He was a saint so clever
Drove all the snakes from Ireland
And banished them forever.

I’ll wear a four leafed shamrock
And Irish songs I’ll sing
I’ll toast with Irish whiskey
A Leprechaun to bring.

If I can catch this Leprechaun
And on to him keep hold
I’ll go to the end of the rainbow
And claim his pot of gold.
