The Future Is So Near
If the world were only as that second sight within the mind,
where pictures are all perfect and the people so very kind....
Just close your eyes and wait upon the visions to arrive,
and try when you awake to bring those pictures full alive...
There are those that say "He's just a dreamer" yes,
but remember that all great men had their dreams to test..
Where would we be now without those many dreams that did come true?
Do names like Martin Luther King & John Lennon, mean nothing at all to you?
Now as we debate the past and present, the future is so near,
and without some great men of vision, it will be very bleak I fear.
Let's open up our minds and let, those deep powers of thought run free,
and if you can envisage change for good, then please hold hands with me.
