MAKING STORIES 1 & 2 with ROB SALMON
Tuesday 14 November 1030-1730
Central Manchester Venue
Non-members £25 / Members £20

Making Stories looks at the skills needed to structure Drama based workshops for different contexts, with different client groups, with different
objectives. In the morning we will explore creative practice with children
at primary school level, considering practitioner led storytelling, devising
around theme and working with text. In the afternoon we will examine
creative initiatives with young people at high school level, looking at
issue based theatre, performance skills and quality assurance. These
sessions will be useful for practitioners creating work with and for children and young people.

Rob Salmon is the Education Director of the Dukes Theatre Lancaster. He has
worked extensively as a Practitioner and Director for the New Vic Theatre,
the Stafford Gatehouse Theatre and the Salisbury Playhouse. He delivers
workshops in various contexts including schools, hostels, prisons, hospitals and community settings. After studying at Bretton Hall, Rob went on to train with Saul Hewish (Acting Out) and John Berman (Geese U.S.A).

Rob currently manages the Dukes Theatre & Cinema Lancaster Education
Department. He is an experienced practitioner and has taught at Salisbury Playhouse, New Vic Theatre, Stafford Gatehouse.
