Citizen 32 magazine launch

entry picture

The outrageously brilliant Chloe Poems will be among the special guests at the launch of the next issue of Manchester-based arts and poetry magazine, Citizen 32.

Ms Poems will treat the audience to her own special brand of "machine-gun
poetry" at the event on Thursday October 26th at the Urbis in Cathedral
Gardens Manchester - see gig guide on this site for full details.

Other guests will include former guest editor, Jackie Hagan who appears
shortly before the launch of her first collection Shut your eyes and put out
your hand. This "sassy and brash" poet is a sure-fire crowd pleaser.

Also appearing is Merseyside poet David Bateman, and there will be open mic slots available. Stockport's very own, Gordon Zola will be your host for the evening.

Citizen 32 is a radical poetry and arts magazine, based in Manchester with a global eye. The theme of the latest magazine is censorship and carries work, features and interviews featuring, Adrian Mitchell, Nobel prize-winning author Orhan Pamuk, punk legend Attila the Stockbroker, Iraqi poet Saadi Youssef and local artist Aly Fell.

Once again the work of new and emerging talent is showcased alongside some of the best writers in the world.

The launch event starts at 8pm. Get there early to book your open mic slot.
