Bury launches cultural salon at library

Bury Literature Lounge and Cultural Salon will be launched on Monday 20 June at Bury library at 7.30 pm by star local writer Emma Jane Unsworth. The salon is intended to be a  lively monthly event for creative people in Bury to come together, featuring established writers and new talent, local people, visiting authors and performers. Emma will be reading from her new book, Hungry, the Stars and Everything, at the launch. Tickets are £2, include a glass of wine and refreshments and can be obtained from Bury Library, Manchester Road.  Bl9 0DG  0161 253 5872. Map
 
Emma Jane Unsworth's short fiction has been published by Prospect magazine, Comma, Nightjar Press, Redbeck Press and Channel 4 Books. She has worked as a journalist for many years and currently writes a fortnightly column for the Big Issue in the North.
