entry picture

It was early evening on Wednesday 28th July and all the Bank Street writers had gathered at Sweetens Bookshop on Deansgate in Bolton for the Launch of Current Accounts 22 and readings of the winning entries from the Bank Street Writers Competition 2005/6.
Write Out Loud regulars made a significant contribution to the evening with readings from Jeff Whitehead of his poem “The Purpose” which won the local poetry prize and Paul Blackburn of his story “Viking” which won 3rd prize in the international short story competition. Elsewhere in the anthology there is another poem from Jeff and contributions from Sandre Clays and Bill Brierley (pictured) who also co-edited this edition. Also included are excellent poems and short stories from around the world.

Copies of this great booklet can be obtained by sending a cheque for £2 to Current Accounts, c/o 16-18 Mill Lane, Horwich, Bolton, BL6 6AT, UK or emailing bswscribe@aol.com for more information
