Following the success of this year's HighTide Festival in Suffolk, the organisers are now requesting submissions for HighTide 2009.

How to Become a HighTide Writer

HighTide are looking for new full-length scripts from emerging writers:

    * Writers may submit one unproduced, unpublished full-length play.
    * There is no restriction on subject matter.
    * HighTide welcome international scripts, written in English, on the basis that all selected writers are available in the UK for the dramaturgy, rehearsal and production period from January to May 2009.

The play should be sent to the address below, and must have a title page with author's name, address and telephone number. Scripts will not be returned.

The play must also be emailed to scripts@hightidefestival.org Please enter your name and title of script in the subject line.

Submission deadline: 1st November 2008.

How to Become a HighTide Director


HighTide are looking for directors to work alongside each of the HighTide Festival 2009 writers.

We are always looking to form relationships with new directors and welcome all invitations to work throughout the year.

If you are interested in directing at HighTide, please email info@hightidefestival.org with details of your previous experience and any forthcoming productions.

Shortlisted directors will be invited for interview in January 2009 and final decisions will be made by 31st January 2009.

Selected directors will work alongside an established dramaturg and the HighTide creative team to develop the selected texts with the playwright.
