Lies

Lies

You tell a big bad lie
Shocks everyone into surprise
Each time you lie, a bit of your soul dies
But you can't help it, it puts a glint in your eye
Making them bright, making them shine
The good in you cries
As your purity starts to demise
You get advice from the wise
Who promote the truth without asking why
But your lies have created ties
Which you can't cut no matter how hard you try
The lies have gotten to big for your size
And swallow and smother you until you die

Enjoyable read. Love the line 'each time you lie, a bit of your soul dies'.. it gives it a dark edge ;-)
