Protest Poems Workshop

entry picture

A reading and writing workshop examining the poetry of protest comes from the Poetry School. How can we use poetry to raise our voices in anger? And how can we best make ourselves heard - with a scream or a still, small voice?

Tutor, Antony Dunn, will be examining work by poets from Harold Pinter to Jo Shapcott, the workshop will lead you towards a first draft of your own new poem. Come with something to protest against.

The Workshop will be held on Saturday 6th November from 10.30am to 4.30pm at Yorkshire Dance, 3 St Peter's Buildings, St Peter's Square, Leeds LS9 8AH. Cost: £53 (£41/£35 concs). Telephone 0207 582 1679 to find out more and to book a place.
