The fabulous Write Out Loud Big Weekend top guest is multi-slam champion poet, Oxford Professor of Poetry nominee, Steve Larkin.

Internationally-renowned spoken word artist, lecturer in performance poetry and storytelling, founder of the UK's largest poetry slam organization, and a singer/song-writer, too! Steve has shared stages with the likes of John Hegley, John Cooper Clarke, Taylor Mali and Linton Kwesi Johnson.

With Write Out Loud’s Julian Jordon and Dave Morgan, at a special Oxford event, He helped mark the passing of Write Out Loud original member, Hovis Presley with Steve’s specially-written poem, Hovis is brown bread - a fitting epitaph.

STOP PRESS - Price Cut

We have cut the price for the weekend to just £50 to ensure that more people can attend. This includes all food, accommodation, workshops and participation in the open-floor and other entertainment.

There is single-sex shared hostel accommodation; or you can book your own accommodaiton and join in the fun for just £30.  To ensure that more people can attend,  we have increased the range of workshops. these are being finalised but include workshops on poetry and even one on scriptwriting.
