Tomorrow night I am appearing at Monologue Slam in Rich Mix on Bethnal Green Road, London.  The nearest tube station is Liverpool Street.

Monologue Slam was an idea originally conceived in the US but were started up in Great Britain around two years ago.  The slams are run under the umbrella of Goldrush Entertainments.  Actors are invited to perform monologues at either one minute or three minutes in length and also perform in a two minute round where they have to improvise with another actor.  The monologues they perform can be from any performed medium (film, theatre or television).  Well-known monologues tend to be performed by the actors, although new writing also features prominently.

The show has attracted a lot of attention in the industry and the judging panel now consist of agents, casting directors and theatre people from around London.  The events are monthly and are organised in not only London but also Manchester, Birmingham and now Sweden.
