Pedalling Poetry

entry picture

Write Out Loud poet David C. Johnson has been appointed poet for the Bristol Cycle festival, and during September he will be travelling around the city reading poetry inspired by bikes and cycling.

On Saturday, 18th September he will be at Colston Hall taking part in ‘Cycling in the City’ – a day of music and entertainment starting at 10am. David will be there from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm, reading poetry and encouraging people to write short bike-themed verses.

Then, on Tuesday, 21st September he will be Pedalling Poetry all over Bristol, riding to some of Bristol’s bike shops to give short, ten minute long poetry readings. You can catch David’s first reading at 11.15am at Pembury Cycles, then he will visit Zero-G (Garlands) at 12.10pm, Mud Dock at 1pm, Bike UK at 2.00pm, finishing at 3pm  at Psyclewerx.
