Was there unheard, unseen

Quietly in the background

Well outside the scene

I sat outside your house at times

It’s what I had to do

Looking to your window light

The months, well they grew kinder

Though need for you still real

And sol drawn to your presence

Away from home I’d steal

It made me calm, it made me still

To share that town again

Still with that drive to see
