Thomas Hardy Conference and Festival
| The 18th Thomas Hardy Conference and Festival celebrates both the 80th year since Hardy's death and the 40th year of the conference. This week-long event offers a programme of lectures, talks, poetry readings, excursions, walks and entertainments. There will be a core of invited speakers, including: Fran Brearton, Alan Chedzoy, Phillip Mallet, Bill Morgan, Stephen Regan, Christopher Ricks, Nicola Watson and Peter Widdowson.
