Anthropologist in High School (I Love You)

They are young

and they have alot going on.

Everyone is called bro (gender irrelevant; I love this!)

As in,

"I mean really bro I told her she needed to talk to him..."

They start alot of their sentences with "I feel that..."

As in,

"I feel that she doesn't really want to talk to him but is pretending...yeah, just to make her mad bro...."

They talk at fast clips and they talk alot on their phones.

They play video games with small clusters of each other on their phones,

laughing laughing laughing

talking talking talking

together together together,

they love being together, congregating.

They teach old folks text hieroglyphics--

btw omg imo imho,

they say goodbye to each other with a fast-clipped "I love you,"

they use the ancient high-five hand slap in greeting.

I love these kids,

all sizes, shapes, colors, styles-- bodies draped in all-black flowing clothes, bodies close to nude in stretched pieces of fabric, dark hair dropping down past the shoulders, purple hair smoothed back oh so cool, girls whizzing by in booted determination, boys floating past in a cloud of nonchalance, gender fluid, gender solid--

they are so beautiful,

I'm floored with their beauty,

for them I say,

I love you I love you I love you--

I am enthralled.

Most of my younger Bros can take pride in the fact that when push comes to shove, old fogeys like me are treated with common courtesy.
Which is more than I can say for some of those in government who loudly protest that they're looking after my interests, whilst doing the opposite.
Yes, we are all brothers, Hélène!
