it set me thinking

aged sixteen in ‘67,

the Vietnam war

sterling going to shit

and protest going from

strength to strength

the Cold War and 

Ban the Bomb,

I’d met the girl who

would be my wife

my summer of love 

so in all honesty

If I’d had the vote

would I have really

given a fuck?

probably not!
