I notice.
Messager’s from nature have carried me through the limits of my frustration tolerance. Last winter we had bald eagles in the neighborhood, did you see them too? I first saw one while riding with my friend. When an eagle came swooping down the middle of the road narrowly missing the car. For the next few weeks, it frequented my back yard majestically gracing our sky.
A few years prior to my divorce. I made reservations for my February birthday at the Shepaug Eagle Observation Area. Bald eagles are rare in my area.
The spiritual message of bald eagle is strength, freedom, courage, and wisdom. Though I don’t feel particularly wise, I made it through some hard times unmedicated maybe courage took up some of the space wisdom vacated.
Reaffirming the messages has been my saving grace.
This week I noticed tiger lilies in abundance along the roadside again. When I was younger, there were deep swatches of orange as far as the eye could see, leading from one town into the next. There might have been some road work that killed them off or buried them deep they have been absent for many years, however, this year they are returning to their former glory. So of course, I had to look up what they are telling me.
I have been playing with ChatGPT lately, this is the affirmation it offered me about tiger lily:
“I stand tall in my truth and bloom with bold beauty. I embrace my strength, my passion and my wild heart. I am radiant, fearless and fully alive.”
Though I don’t feel any of those attributes yet, I will hold onto the belief that they are on their way to becoming a reality for me.
