On early Sunday morning,

Without any warning
When the kids peacefully slept,
A horrible idea that Hitler had kept.
He had given an order
To bomb the Soviet border.

By an unexpected military act
He had broken a non-aggression pact.
But his plans have just failed
And his voice wasn't taled.
Levitan announced the beginning of the war.

No one was as strong as before.
.

The soldiers defend our Motherland
Standing up to the end, hand in hand.
He forgot that he was the aggressor;
The people of my country were the defenders.
He had to know the mentality of Russians,
Ukrainians, Georgians, and Armenians…..

 

More than 100 other nationalities

They had quite different moralities.
Their destinies weren't to be slaves,
And they didn't want to live in the caves.
Hitler had to know the native soul
That would never live on someone's dole.

They were the years of fear and grief.
The war was a thief.
It took away millions of lives,
But those who survive
Would never forget the war.
They’ve become stronger than before.

 

Many questions still remain:
What questions are the main?
Are we on the right shore?
Should we think a bit more?
You create a world of love and peace?
But people only think about how to seize?

 

Why don’t they forget to share?
Why is the truth so rare?
There are many questions to ask.
But I give you here only one task:
If you are a man, a human being,
I hope you understand this thing.

It Was Sunday, The 22nd of June
The day was on the rising Moon,
The day of memory in the 21st century
The day of memory in our history.
They tear themselves away from the land
And walked together hand in hand.

No one wanted to die,
You could hear only a cry.

No one wanted to be a slave.

The soldiers were so brave,

They fought together in any weather

Like brothers of one unusual feather.
