Thoughts of the Thought Police
Daily outpourings of gobbledygook
Engender these feelings of such disbelief,
Learning they’re led by a devious crook
Under the guise of commander-in-chief.
Seizing control like a tin-pot dictator,
In contravention of longstanding laws;
Outsiders view as astonished spectator
Noting that no one has dared give him pause.
Anyone with more than half of a brain
Longs for a time Orwell’s fiction again.
