One Prayer

 

I’ve only got one heart Lord, make it true.                                                 Give me the strength and the faith to trust in you.

Help me to see, help me to find                                                        a way to walk with you on this road I’m on.

  I’ve only got one mind Lord to think things through                                                                the best is yet to come may our prayers the past re new.

         Help us to see, help us to find                                                       a unity with you on a path reborn.

We’ve only got one soul lord we’ve only got one life                   give us the courage and grace to heal the strife.

       Help us in darkness to look to the light                                          your love will give us freedom from the anger and the fight.

One heart; One mind; One soul One life.

From darkness light may guide us                                               as moon and stars unfold                                                                         a path forever blessed that shine within our souls.                                                   

A beacon lights the way ahead, the future for to see                         a future bright this moment now may be our destiny.

It may be a dream, but a dream we can’t ignore                                                                                                     that we find lasting peace with an end to all war.

In the future we may see the spirit of equality

that knows no boundaries,                                   a trust our children’s destiny                                                           a beacon of faith and love may be                                                                  In the trust of God's pure harmony.
