A man went into a homeless shelter wanting a bed for the night.

He was dirty,malnourished,with grass clinging to his hair,quite a sight !

He had obviously been sleeping rough for quite a while.

He was given clean clothes and washed,but his hair was vile.

 

It was noticed that the new occupant kept scratching his head.

A day later it came to pass that a bad hair infestation through the hostel had spread.

Each member of the hostel had to be examined,'twasn't nice!

Soon it was discovered many occupants were infested with lice.

 

On examining the new occupant it's something I'll never forget,

Hundreds of wandering adult lice my eyes met.

They were so dense crawling around on top of each other.

A situation with blood flowing out of his wounds I did discover!

 

When I told him how many lice I'd seen , he was appalled

I cut his dreadlocks and soon he was bald.

Suddenly I noticed one of the dreadlocks moving along the floor,

The lice had captured it fleeing towards the door.

 

A nurse present at the time said that the wounds on him were infected.

But said"The wounds on his head ,thank God they were detected !"
