Moon over Ukraine
The moon shines up above:
New, crescent, half, gibbous, full,
Waxing, waning,
Dodging behind a scudding cloud.
Its complete repertory,
Its whole thing.
At least they’ll never get the moon.

Thank you, Stephen.
I don't know about never getting the moon;
but I remember a NASA scientist or suchlike some decades ago, being asked on the radio "Why do we need to spend all that money on going to Mars?" and the blunt reply was something to the effect that: "Humanity will need somewhere to go because we've buggered up Mother Earth".
Let's hope not, anyway, Steve! To give it credit, the moon is moving away from us, a little every year. And who could blame it?
Powerful, Stephen. Like a prayer for peace, and empathy for those suffering war.
Thanks to Tom, Aisha, Holden and Yanma for liking this.

Thanks, everyone, for the comments and the likes.
The moon is a constant thing of beauty. Not even the most desperate megalomaniac can touch it. It must be very annoying for them.
Let's try to make the Earth a better place in 2025!
A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.
Steve
