‘I miss you mummy’

Mummy, why am i like this?

All I do is sit and miss.

Missing your hugs, missing your scent,

I'm lay here drowning in my lament.

Mummy, i'm not the same anymore,

I carry on suffering more and more.

I'm just like you, I hate it and love it,

Im sorry mummy, my wrists are always slit.

Im sorry I can't be calm, I can't be happy,

But I love to read your poems, they're always so catchy.

I miss you too much mummy, why can't you come back?

Come back, have the pans off the rack.

Make your amazing food like you always used to,

I miss you mummy, I really do.

(this poem is towards my mother. she used to write poems on this website, Nicky Burrows. i will be writing quite a lot of poems about her, as i miss her ever so dearly. i hope shes proud of me with my poems.)

Really touched by the tribute to your mother. Keep writing Kara-Fé! You are continuing the poet legacy. Poetry is our friend, our healer. Blessings to you my dear!
