Bucket Of Love

entry picture

Come to me with your bucket of hope

Bring it quick, please do not refrain

I need your help if I’m going to cope

In a world gone mad, gone insane

I once carried a bucket just like yours

A pail full of promises and lofty dreams

Personal things you can’t buy in a store

Tokens of aspirations I’d hoped to redeem

People blindly began rejecting common sense

To the point where ignorance reigns supreme

Dullards stranded in a mind so dangerously dense

Spew out angry nonsense from the sheeple regime

I, like you once carried a pail of promises

Sparkling nectar laden with simple goals

But I had miscalculated my social nemesis

They battered my bucket and poked in holes

Until the hope I cherished sifted from my pail

Leaving me with empty dreams and bitterness

I looked around and all I saw was just a living hell

Where humanity chose to embrace the ugliness

I fought the fog that tried to settle upon my brain

And with one small spark of hope I searched for you

The thought of your bucket of hope kept me sane

Because just one sparkling dipper and I can start anew

This poem has some serious and deep lines to ponder upon. Meaningful and moving. Made me read twice. Superb my friend!
I loved the ending lines very much,
"I fought the fog that tried to settle upon my brain
And with one small spark of hope I searched for you
The thought of your bucket of hope kept me sane
Because just one sparkling dipper and I can start anew."
