All Smiles Around Here

entry picture

A carnival of

Shattered hearts

And shunned characters

Isn’t where you were

Destined to be,

Wasn’t where you

Intended to be,

So why be?

There’s a paradise

Of shared smiles

And shimmering lights,

Seen only to the ones

Who want to be seen,

To be healed.

Together we share

Our anxieties, perplexities,

Comebacks, hold-backs,

Failures and fears,

We seldom give each other

The chance to walk back

With sorrowful tears;

At the end of the day,

And the session’s stay,

It’s only smiles

Around here.

You share a few,

I share my hue,

And there needn’t be

Another point of view.

You are beautiful,

Warm, gentle, kind-hearted,

And one amongst the few,

You needn’t be prolonging

The period of blue.

The carnival you’re in

Is a pretty shady place,

I hope you realise that

With the passing days.

And the day when

You feel alone,

And walking off

The zone,

Remember that

Heaven is just

A short drive

From home.
