Between the Moonbeams.

entry picture

Between the Moonbeams.

Could it be that you are the summer rain caressing my skin

While drenching my soul

To ease the pain

My heart rises up to meet the dawn

Knowing your love runs through it

Like a river greeting the ocean

With a weary yawn -

In the knowledge that finally

It has somewhere to lie

I catch your smile with the lightness

Of a feather in flight

And not for a moment

Do I lose sight of the stars

In your eyes

I have no need of the armour

So long I have worn to protect my tenderness from the violent storms ~

Unleashed  upon me  without shame

Or regret

Under your downpour

I throw myself naked

And unabashed

To dance with the rainbows ~

I am reborn

Fresh as a newly burst bud

Eager for the rain to quench my thirst for life

I reach out to you ~

I become the sun

And the grass that we feed, grows

Lush and abundant with meadow blooms

Through the prism of your love

Spring  ignites bright, new dreams

And my shadow is no longer afraid

To show itself between the moonbeams.

A thrilling love poem, Clare. Unafraid, unashamed. Very enjoyable.
