Night Angel

Every night she climbs

to the roof top & sits,

bare footed,

contemplating the life

unfolding before her.

She wiggles her toes

& watches the twinkling stars.

How is humanity doing this eve?

There are sleeping ones

& crying ones & worried ones

& peaceful ones--

a full garden of experiences.

Everything is growing,

this she sees.

She blows a soft kiss

to remind everyone of love,

she sends wishes of love

to everyone.

Finished with her nightly blessing,

she flies off the roof

& finds a tree to nestle in.

She lets the moon sing

her a lullaby while she dreams

of an illuminated planet.

She will light the sky again tomorrow night.

For now, she rests.

Joy & appreciation this Christmas Eve to all my poetry friends at WOL! 💖
