Kneeled before god

Between apples,
The pasture inside the everglades,
A picnic in shorts and tea-sweet lemonade,
A white teeth,
A crinkled smile,
A blue cast sky behind,
The days past by,
And never more than rain in season,
Growing from the cracks in pavement,
Holding hands of small children,
The coat thick and blue,
Drapped over shortly,
Drapped over you,
The hollow thing that beats between,
Red and masquerading nightmares.

I find this so cool, here's chatGPT's interpretation of my poem:

This poem seems to be about a person who is reminiscing about a past memory, possibly a happy one. The mention of apples, the pasture, the picnic, and the sweet lemonade all suggest a pleasant, carefree atmosphere. The mention of the blue sky and the children holding hands adds to this idyllic scene. However, there is also a sense of sadness and loss in the poem, indicated by the reference to the "hollow thing that beats between" and the "red and masquerading nightmares." It's possible that this person is longing for the happiness and simplicity of this past memory, but is now stuck in a reality that is more complicated and difficult. Overall, the poem seems to be about the bittersweet nature of memories and the longing for a simpler, happier time.
