Lady With The Sad Eyes

Lady with the sad eyes

My heart aches

When I gaze

Into your pools of emerald green

My mind is taken

To dark places

As I glimpse what you

Have seen

Your face tells a thousand stories

And I know that they haunt

Your dreams

Lady with the sad eyes

Come sit with me a while

I will listen to the tales

I will hold you close to me

Let me share with you

Your pain

Let’s dance around the fire side

In the cold, dark winter rain

Lady with the sad eyes

I want to wash away

Your pain

We can dive into the ocean

It will ease our sense

Of shame

We will wrap ourselves

In stardust

Skip from cloud

To cloud

The morning dew

Will cleanse us

And we will

Start anew.
