Gemstone Necklace

Gemstone Necklace

I dare to wander far inside this trove of a head

Without chains around my ankles bounding me to my bed

Though, it sure feels like it

I feel a weight inside my lungs and my chest doesn’t like it

In the expansion and decompression

The plasm I bleed

And the skin closes up, it’s all alike

It seems.

In solitude, a bed of thin clouds dissolves beneath

And as if I could see any clearer, what’s glass under me?

And as far as I can see

I can see no nearer;

I think the sky can show me how the sea is a mirror

Often in dreams, there is no me but just others

Just scenes of auburn haze over forest canopies I could see through some shutters.

Stories not written yet

Places which don’t exist

Letters between you and I

As if we never met

Your gemstone necklace

Garnet, I can’t forget

With a gold chain

And though gold fades

I can see the silhouette.
