That time we saw the moon (2020)

I hear this poem as a song, maybe that's what it is.

That time we saw the moon

at first it was a glow

volcanic red

and gentle amber

brewing on the hill

That time

we saw the moon

it emerged like a horn

out of Mother Earth's head

slow and powerful

a crescent grew

floating towards the sky

that's when I looked at you

and wondered if I

would ever have a

night like this again

Would we ever have a night like this

again?

That time we saw the moon

it was like a new day came

light swelled before our eyes

as we watched our new sun rise.
