Spring is Birthing

Spring is birthing new hope

I saw it on the sloping hill

Not far from where I strolled

Lambs were springing

Gaily with their kin

It was such a joyous turn

Life filled with possibilities

Unfurling like a fern

The trees demand my admiration

For the buds they have just burst

What joy it brings to me

To see that nature

Is in an optimistic mood

I am even further comforted

By the horses nuzzling at the ground

It seems they are in such good health

One could almost say it’s rude

Spring is such a happy time

With nature stirring from her slumber

-Defying anyone to brood

For she offers a new season

Full of splendid beauty

Surely it could lift

The solemnest of moods

I think that I am lucky

And I am thankful for this day

In a world of such uncertainty

Nature continues on her way

So I want to take this moment

To reflect on all I have

This freedom is a blessing

May I never take for granted

The liberty gracefully bestowed

Upon my mortal soul

For I have been gifted

In this crazy tumultuous world

With a little piece of heaven

Which knows little of the turmoil

From which many now recoil.

Thankyou for your like and comment, John. I for one feel the need for a little light relief from the horrors we are seeing unfold.
