Feet are very neglected

A part  of the body that just exists 

To keep us upright from dawn til dusk

To get us from A to B 

To accelerate and stop the car

Sometimes our feet travel too far 

 

Left then right the endless motion

That keeps us going throughout the day

If we went left left left

We would of course fall over

If right right right it would all be over

 

We look at faces we look at hands

Converse with lips and eyes and ears

We study body language, how we sit 

But what about the feet

They just take you to the meet

 

Look at some one on the stage

Their gaze and hands with you engage

But their feet . They just move around

With no thought to the act or owner

Random shuffles to keep them upright.

The feet are always out the spot light.

 

But I like my feet, they just stick out

The rest of me is up and down

180 degrees , most of the time

But standing up or lying down

My 90 degree feet keep me sound.
