Sunday morning in Palma
it’s quiet around the town
Many shops are closed today 
their graffitied shutters down

We walk along the sea front 
pass the many boats and yachts
Down to the grand Cathedral 
where we take a few snapshots 

We stop for cafe con leche 
in a quaint outside cafe 
A break to plot our route 
and plan the rest of the day 

We head up to the castle 
that dominates the hillside
Rewarded at the summit
views stretching out far and wide 

We make our way back down 
on a pathway through the park
Back to the ship just in time
the clouds loom heavy and dark 

Once on board we look over
the miles we covered today
Sun lights up the Cathedral 
backdropped by menacing grey
