Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

A history of linen

the fascists had great style

were very witty

their women were charming

they had sympathizers

and for time

seemed to be winning

there was something appealing

about a logic everyone could

understand

not like our lives

messy and imperfect

full of obvious errors

we reenact these struggles

every night

the outcome's always in question
