thousands dead, trade wings

with shoes.

 

Angels and Demons playing ceasefire football,

lobb grenades against The Wall.

 

The Temple falls as fools rise up,

Last Suppers sup an eager sup.

 

Uncoffined nail between his teeth

the centurion hammers home his disbelief,

 

But wait, it isn’t over yet

lightning bolts with love beget,

 

firmament angrily rent apart

trumpets fanfare the impure heart,

 

and there it squirms upon a throne

shored up by filth and bloody bone,

 

all destroy the things they love....
