Write to Speak, in association with www.thisisUll.com, will be hosting a spoken word event with special guest Dennis Wild at The Adelphi Club in Hull on Thursday, 5th August as part of the Larkin25 Festival.

Hosted by Mike Watts, Write to Speak will feature performances from the participants of the first series of performance poetry workshops, as well as a set from Adelaide based poet - Dennis Wild.

Dennis, originally from Manchester, has lived in South Australia for 30 years; during which time he has been actively involved in folk music, storytelling and poetry. In 2005 he released his well-received spoken word/poetry CD ‘Both Sides Yesterday’, and his poetry chapbook ‘Just North of Bewilderment’ was published early last year. He was also a finalist in the Australian National Slam Poetry Competition held in Sydney in 2007.

The show starts at 8pm and entry is £2 on the door; and The Adelphi Club is on DeGrey Street, Hull.
