From the screen reaching out

Stick thin kids lie listless .

Emaciated in a world that takes the life, and squeezing hard

Destroys the chance of decent life of fairness.

 

Our heart goes out but what’s the point

They’re far away in some dark corner 

Of our dear earth, victims of conflict ,

Politics, corruption 

 

They’re there again day after day

Year after year, on and on stretching in to 

Time unimaginable.

Worse and worse as mankind expands 

Like a plague thats blighting 

Everything that it touches.

 

The door bell rings. 

Hello mate,

A beer, great thanks  .

I’ll switch the tele off

And in a instant

Problem solved .
