from four years ago today
a trip to the theatre
which was subject to delay

Delayed due to the tragedy
of the Arena bombing
John Bishop shared a video
this message left me sobbing

His sentiments so heartfelt
the emotion overflowed
he felt is was only right
to postpone upcoming shows

I watched him through floods of tears
as he shared his thoughts that day
I wanted to say thank you
for sharing his thoughts that way

Who knew, just a few days later
that my wish would come true
I got the chance to give him a hug
and to say thank you

To this day I hope and pray
that he really didn't mind
the time I asked for a hug
and thanked him for being kind
