Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

Retrospective

Hindsight marches in, nonchalant,

And makes one a revisionist historian:

Dilemmas resolved but deleterious

Once again promise to turn mysterious.

So the agony of crossroads past

Is sculpted in high-relief,

While erstwhile echoes

Taunt in high-fidelity.

The farce is interactive

And the thespian exceedingly demanding:

Exhumes storylines thought inert,

Hands you a re-write quill under duress.

The rabbit-hole extravaganza

Leaves bitterness as relict,

Elevates the hypothesis into high art,

Yet never alters a single verdict.
