THE PRIDE of AFRICA

Eight billion humans tear this planet apart
Hating each other
Hating other species
Selfishly destroying
All the secret gardens
Of this world
Man came out of Africa
Killing as they went
Killing for food
Killing for ‘fun’.

In Africa now only
Twenty thousand lions with nowhere to hide
Just trying to take care of their pride
They defend each other, they share their food,They do not waste a morsel
For this they are hunted, shot, trapped, poisoned, burnt alive
By the killer species - homo sapiens. .

The crown of creation?

Yes a powerful piece indeed. I find big cats and other predators fascinating. Lions in particular seem to be one of the few that operate in family units
