The deadline is fast approaching for submissions for the prestigious Aldeburgh First Collection Prize; all submissions must arrive by 31^st July, 2010.

The winner of this long-established poetry prize will receive £3000, plus a week’s ‘protected’ writing time, and an invitation to read at the 2011 Aldeburgh Poetry Festival.

Any first collection of at least 40 pages, published in the UK and RoI between 1^st August, 2009 and 31^st July, 2010, is eligible to enter. Submissions can be from publishers or individual poets. Three bound or proof copies, with a note of their publication date, must be received by 31^st July 2010.
