I close my eyes

And leave this place

I no longer belong- or rather

I never did 

But I've only just realized

I can call no place home, and yet

I'm home wherever I go

I'm not lost, I never was

It is a lonely existence

To spend an eternity 

Wandering the cosmos

But I meet many souls along the way

And they all remind me of myself 

In the best of ways

And I love them

For all of their flaws

All of their weaknesses

And their strengths

The simple beauty of their existence

I open my eyes

And I feel the universe within me

I breathe in, and it breathes me in

A cycle of life and death

Among the stars

Amidst the darkness and the light

These humans have a lot to learn.
