The “Tourons” Great Day Out

entry picture

Touron........A tourist who unfortunately also happens to be a moron!

The “Tourons” made up a picnic
of their favourite food and drink
They brought along everything from home
except the kitchen sink

Bags bursting with goodies
enough to see them through the day
They left behind the empty packaging
for others to throw away

Taking much effort to pack everything
their stomachs desired
The Tourons” forgot one thing
the one essential required

A simple black bin bag
to place their empty bags, bottles and tins
If only they had brought it
and placed it the provided bins

The “Tourons” had a great time
at their favourite beauty spot
The perfect site, so beautiful
they couldn't have found a nicer plot

The “Tourons” agreed
it had been the best day there was no doubt
It was only right to leave the locals a memento....
of the “Tourons” great day out

Thanks for the likes Dean, Stephen G, Holden and Kevin. Stephen G I think you are probably immune from the likes of such.
Quite possibly Leon.
Well done to you Kevin, shouldn’t be necessary though. I just don’t understand how some people think it’s acceptable.

Thank you, Julie. I don't know what to think when I see scenes like this. I mean, is it catching?

I always feel like a moron picking up other people's garbage. I try to do it anyway. Glad there are others who care about Earth.

I suspect many of these Tourons were saving the planet with Greta two years ago.

After seeing all the news stories about the amount of litter being left behind after days out enjoying the lovely weather. It seemed appropriate to revisit this poem from last year. Amended slightly.
